Angela Faye Pope

Graveside services for Angela Faye Pope, 89, of Abernathy, TX, will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, September 2, 2017, in the Abernathy Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX.

Mrs. Pope died Wednesday, August 30, 2017, in Lubbock, TX.

She was born January 28, 1928 in Borger, TX to Verdie Edward and Alice (Bayer) Cook.  She married Otis Benjamin Pope, February 15, 1947 in Plains, TX.  He preceded her in death October 5, 2004.  The moved into the Abernathy community in 1960 from the farm, where they had lived since the early 50's.

She is survived by a son, Benny Pope and wife Sharman of Lubbock, TX and a daughter, Theresa Poage and husband Ray of Colleyville, TX, a brother; Raymond Cook and wife Jean of Longview, TX, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
