Alvin Glenn

Graveside services for Alvin Price Glenn, 91, of Lubbock, TX, were held at 10:00 am Tuesday, February 7, 2006, in the City of Lubbock Cemetery with Rev. Joel Perez officiating. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mr. Glenn was born January 15, 1915 in Post, TX. He married Avinel McCoy in 1946 and she preceded him in death in 1975. He married Nora Etta Shaw in Idalou, TX on March 11, 1976 and she preceded him in death October 2, 2004. He moved to Lubbock as a young man and served in the United States Army being stationed in Naples, Rome, Southern France and Central Europe and was awarded numerous medals. He is survived by 3 step children, Charlie Prim of Dallas, TX, Freddie Shaw and his wife Mary of Abernathy, TX, and Betty Steinhiemer and her friend James Parker of Grosbeck, TX, 3 nephews, Jimmy Glenn of Evandale, TX, Bobby Glenn and Jessie Glenn both of Granbury, TX, 11 step grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild and numerous great nieces and nephews.
