Alan Beard

Graveside services for Alan Len Beard, 52, of Amarillo, TX. will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday,June 19, 2013, in the Strip-Pearce Chapel Cemetery, East of Abernathy, TX, with Rev. Roger Foote officiating. Cremation and services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Alan was born May 14, 1961 in Lubbock, TX. He graduated from high school in Houston, TX and enlisted in the United States Navy where he served from 1978 until 1982 in Italy and Maryland. He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Amarillo, TX. He is survived by a daughter, Amanda Beard of Rosenburg, TX, his parents Don and Jill Beard of Lubbock, TX and brother, Brent Beard and wife Debbie of Murfreesboro, TN. Alan was also survived by longtime supporters and friends, Terry O'Daniel and family.
